City of Claremont, Banner
Claremont’s historic Train Deport provides a beautiful backdrop behind jazz bands on Friday nights in Claremont. To illustrate the feel, I took three photos—one of the depot, one of my husband’s sax, and one of some sheet music—and combined them in Photoshop. I warped the sheet music, played around with some filters, and chose typestyles that give a feel for both Jazz music and the historic nature of the Depot. This design was submitted to the City’s annual banner contest, and I was pleased it was a winner. It was the first (and so far only) banner made digitally (most are hand painted). I sent the files out to a banner printer and had it custom printed. Click on the pic for larger view.
My Jazz at the Depot design is also available on a t-shirt in my Zazzle Store.
