Poster, 19th Amendment Centennial

Centennial Celebration of Suffrage, a digital painting I made to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the 19th Amendment, was a labor of love. It took about two years to complete. I spent time researching the history of struggle to gain the right to vote and poring over historical photos.  The reference photos for this work were varied: the dress, shoes, sash, face, hands, and flag all based from different sources. I used typestyle from the era and put a photo of the actual Amendment in the background. Done in a number of programs on my iPad, mostly Procreate.
