Dove Lino Print

To capture the essence of peace, I made this linocut of a dove with olive branch. I carved the lino then printed a variety of ways. In this print, I used blended ink on my inking plate going from dark blue to more transparent blue. After rolling the ink onto my block, I put texture on the rolled ink to form clouds before putting through my press.  

 

Before carving the block, I drew my dove in Affinity Design,  vector program, on my iPad Pro. When it was done, I transferred it to the block to carve.
